Bee Stuff
I started taking pictures from the first cut on the first hive... but I have no idea where I put that disc.
Oops!
So, here are a few pictures from when the first
hive was almost done through to the hive check
I did on the 21st. I just love these bees! The second hive
will have a few changes - mainly that
there will be a window on each side and it will be 30" instead of 24".

| Looking through the screen access door | 7 bars removed. Chunk of
comb on the bottom was their first attempt that fell off a bar. I thought they might clean it up, but it looks like they're using it as an achor point? |

| Another view with 7 bars removed. They seem to be filling all the bars with the same shape... ? Don't they like 19" bars? | Same view - looks like they're
favoring one side. They are working 10 bars but started on honey blanks without guides. Number of bars is now 8 brood, 1 honey, one brood, two honey and 8 more brood. I didn't want to remove the bars they started on. |
